Nonke Ippatsu Tabehoudai from Astray

So, it looks like we’ve got another new BL brand with a more traditional eroge aesthetic! Astray’s first title is Nonke Ippatsu Tabehoudai (something like… All-You-Can-Eat Straight Guy Buffet? I can’t think of anything good). The staff is a total mystery and the website has limited information on it so far. They have an article in next week’s Cool-B, so presumably more will be revealed then. Interestingly, whoever runs the official Twitter uses 俺, so maybe it’s a dude-run brand? Correction: Nevermind, I’m dumb and the Twitter’s supposed to be in the voice of the MC! Anyway, looks interesting. Stuff from the official site under the break:

Room No.9 July Cool-B Interview w/ Director Amemiya

Thank you to the anon on /blog/ who dug scans up on weibo! Most of the other information is repeated from the website update, but there’s a lengthy interview with Amemiya about the game with some interesting details this time. Might make some corrections later since I cranked this out pretty fast but anywho:

Room No. 9: May Cool-B Info

Unknown

A kind anon found scans of the Cool-B feature on weibo, so here’s what we know now:

The Premise

Two close friends use their summer vacation to go on a trip together. They awaken to find themselves trapped in a secret room. There’s a monitor displaying a cruel and robotic message: “You have been selected as subjects in a behavioral analysis experiment,” and every day it presents them with challenges… Can [Daichi] let his best friend hurt him? Can he toy with his best friend and break him?

The Characters

Kobayashi Daichi (The Protagonist)
He has no family or other relatives. He went to college on a scholarship to become an elementary school teacher. He’d never admit it, but he thinks of Seiji as his dearest friend.

Azumi Seiji (The “Heroine”)
He’s been friends with Daichi since middle school. Currently he’s attending a different university, but they hang out when they can. He’d never admit it, but he thinks of Daichi as his dearest friend.

Comments from Director Amemiya

It’s a story about two straight best friends being kidnapped together and forced to commit unthinkable acts. [Daichi is forced to] do things neither party wants to the affable, bespectacled young man. Rich sex scenes are the main focus along with the way their relationship slowly becomes twisted. We have over 15 sex scenes planned, and while the nature of the “twistedness” isn’t particularly extreme, we’re preparing a lot of variations. There are both serious and light-hearted scenes as well, not a lot of romance, and while the seme-protagonist might say things like, “I don’t mind being on the bottom,” it never actually goes there. There’s hair too. If any of this sounds interesting to you, I hope we don’t disappoint!

While the game being about a closed room situation with only two characters makes it seem very likely that it is indeed a half-price title, it’s not explicitly confirmed anywhere. Not-a-lot-of-romance and a seme protag open to switching (but never going there for fear of fujo wrath I imagine) seem to be things Amemiya’s particularly into. No cast info yet. Anyway, tl;dr BL euphoria (although it doesn’t sound like they’re getting too crazy with the fetish stuff).

Upcoming BL Game: Tsuminaru Rasen no Ori – Whispers of Iscariot –

image01

Spray’s first completely new game in ages. The features that have been running on this title in Cool-B at least have been pretty damn sparse. They’ve only released a handful of CGs. It’s a… semi-mid-price? title at around 6k with a pretty limited cast. It’s described as a Love-Hate-Triangle game and iirc it has “triangle” endings as well.

Title: Tsuminaru Rasen no Ori (“The Spiral Prison of Sin” or something like that)
Developer: Spray
Character Design: Ciel
Scenario: Fuyuno Jinko
Storyboarding: Mahiro Kou
Art: Ciel, Nana Hiroi, Hatobane Raika
Release Date: 5/27/2016

Story

1895: The Kingdom of Kisirtonia.*

Funeral bells echo through the hills of a town just outside the capital. It’s the funeral of an aristocrat who was hailed as the hero of the land.

Whoever he is, it’s got nothing to do with me. I live in a world that will never cross paths with those in attendance.

Aristocrats are aristocrats and servants are servants. That fact will never change. My life as a member of the lower class, existing only to be used by someone, isn’t going to end.

At least that’s what I thought.
Until the moment that all changed.

*- クスルトニア王国: Took a wild guess on this one. It's not a real country.

Characters

c891875chara1Nico, The Oppressed Boy
Voiced by: Asagi Yuu

The protagonist of the story. A boy born of a Kisirtonian and a Yaffian*. He was raised in an orphanage and has been working at a funeral parlor. During a funeral service, Claus falls for him the moment he lays eyes on him and he’s taken into service at the Strauss estate.

He’s lived a life of oppression since the day he was born, so he harbors no hopes for the world or the future.

“Nothing’s going to change anyway. Hoping for it is pointless.”

*ヤフ人 - Another made up country. Idk lol.

c891875chara2Claus Strauss, The Gentlemanly and Mild-mannered Young Head-of-House
Voiced by: Domon Atsushi

A pure-blooded Kisirtonian with blond hair, blue eyes and pale-white skin. After the death of his father, a man heralded as a hero of the region, he becomes the new head of the Strauss household.

He’s a sociable egalitarian who believes in being a noble gentleman, and he’s mindful of the lower classes like the Yaffians and servants.

“Would you be interested in working at my estate?”

c891875chara3Glenn Managarm, The Ice-Cold Butler/Valet
Voiced by: Kirigi Lee

A Yaffian butler and valet serving at the Strauss estate. He’s been attending on Claus since his college days.

Claus trusts him deeply, and he is in charge of assisting Claus with a wide variety of things from his personal care to business affairs. He is eminently skilled at his job, but his private life is full of mysteries.

“Learn the job quickly if you don’t want to be chased out of here.”

Parade’s new game: Room No. 9

Haven’t blogged in a million years but I wanted to put info on this somewhere:

1458888384267

Parade, developers of No, Thank You!!! sorta pre-announced their new game with a postcard recently.

I’m guessing there was more info on the back because 2ch also reports that it’s a mid-price title––so a 4000 yen range rather than an 8000 yen range game (so probably shorter/fewer routes).

Title: Room No. 9
Planning/direction/script: Amemiya Mitsuru
Art: Nikaido Shino
Scenario: Sawa Masaki
Release date: Summer 2016
Tagline: “I wish we could have stayed friends.” (or something like that idk context)

Both Amemiya and Sawa are back from NTY!!!. Sawa was the writer on Hiroyuki’s route so that might be an indicator of the feel. No Hamashima this time though. /blog/ speculates that Nikaido is probably Norizane (a newer ClockUp employee, mostly has done SD artwork, but was the lead on Natsu no Kusari recently) under a penname and I’m inclined to believe it. Nikaido did the 2016 NTY!!! new year’s card:

For comparison here’s some of Norizane’s SD work for Maggot Baits:

A teaser site is supposed to be going up next week, with more info in the next issue of Cool-B (out April 4th) and a full site up around May.

On the NTY!!! front, Amemiya’s been apologizing profusely about being slow on the drama CD. They’re still intent on getting that done though. The OVA’s status is pretty questionable at this point. Apparently even Parade isn’t sure what’s up with it right now (ClockUp seems to have split from HobiBox in the last year or so, so maybe there’s some issue there).

On a more general blog note, I might do some posts when Cool-B’s out with info on Masho Megane and The Salvation of Patient S because why not maybe BL/otome isn’t kill after all.
