So! The Room No. 9 demo is finally here. It’s more or less exactly what you’d expect if you’ve been keeping up with the game so far. Some things of note on the more technical side of things since ClockUp’s made a few nice quality-of-life adjustments to the engine and UI:

So, the September issue of Cool-B is out and with it we have some more information about parade’s Room No. 9! First off some basic info recap since it’s scattered through several posts now:

The Room No. 9 site updated with what looks to be a complete outline of the rules of the “game”––I mean, experiment. Also of note (although somewhat old news now), the game has a release date: September 30th. Voice actors will be announced next week in Cool-B. Amemiya mentioned on twitter that the staff’s favorite pick for Daichi was rejected in favor of their #2 pick because he fit Amemiya’s vision of the character better while Amemiya agreed with their #1 for Seiji. Anyway, I guess we’ll find out who they are next week! I’m bored so here’s a translation…

Thank you to the anon on /blog/ who dug scans up on weibo! Most of the other information is repeated from the website update, but there’s a lengthy interview with Amemiya about the game with some interesting details this time. Might make some corrections later since I cranked this out pretty fast but anywho:

The official site for Room No. 9 has updated to reveal the key visual and character profiles. It’s also still slated for a 2016 summer release (probably late summer though).
Most of the information isn’t terribly new but here it is anyway:

A kind anon found scans of the Cool-B feature on weibo, so here’s what we know now: The Premise Two close friends use their summer vacation to go on a trip together. They awaken to find themselves trapped in a secret room. There’s a monitor displaying a cruel and robotic message: “You have been selected as subjects in a behavioral analysis experiment,” and every day it presents them with challenges… Can [Daichi] let his best friend hurt him? Can he toy with his best friend and break him? The Characters Kobayashi Daichi (The Protagonist) He has no family or other relatives.…
